Newsletter - January 2018
This is the second CET monthly Newsletter. Each month we will bring you information for powerful fire ground solutions involving the products we make.
We will highlight one of our CET equipment dealers, and one of our employees -to give you an opportunity to get to know us a little better- and our dealers who are out there working hard for you everyday. Additionally, we have a “Did You Know” segment to provide factoids on news you can use, and will provide industry news as it becomes available. Let us know what you think. If there are additional topics you feel would be useful to include in our newsletter, please reach out and let us know.
CET SUPPLIED PUMPS TO BG FIRE SCHOOL
Article by Ed Collet who is an engineer by trade, a firefighter, and an Instructor for pump operations and re-supply with the Bowling Green State University Fire School.
This past October CET provided three pumps for Bowling Green (Ohio) State Fire School. Students were able to use a PFP-20hpHND-1D (1D) PFP-20hoHND-MR (20MR), and
PFP-11hpHND-FL (floating) for water supply and quick attack monitor supply. Due to an issue with the schedule apparatus, the 20MR was used for the nozzle flow and friction loss evolution.

Why did you select CET Fire Pumps to provide your eight (8) new drop-in Skid Units?
Our new units will carry a CET 20HP Honda MR pump, 200ft of 2.5" supply hose , and 200ft of 1-3/4" attack line along with 150ft of forestry hose. CET met our expectations and were very accommodating and helped us to customize the units to our specific needs. The aluminum units will be non-corroding and we felt having the bronze impellers were important for the longevity of the units. Additionally, the CET Dealership- Atlantic Emergency Solutions- and their salesperson, Bob Rosensteel, worked hard- did their homework - and were very responsive. We are very happy with the CET units thus far.
How/where will you use these new units?
These units were designed to help us fight fire specifically in parking garages. CET helped us to customize the design with a low profile to fit into any parking garage regardless of height restrictions.

DID YOU KNOW?
Every portable pump made by CET is wet tested before shipping to ensure every pump is ready to fight fire upon delivery. Furthermore, every skid unit is also flow tested before shipping. This means every pump on every skid unit is actually tested twice to make sure it is ready to fight fire when it leaves the factory. NOW YOU KNOW.

HOW LONG WITH THE COMPANY?
Since 2007
WHAT DO YOU DO?
Lead the sales team in the US and Canada
HOW DOES WHAT YOU DO AFFECT THE CUSTOMER?
I learned the business at the distribution level and spent much of my early career dealing directly with the fire service. Working to understand their basic needs helps me to give our sales staff a better picture of the how CET can solve, even the smallest of needs, our product can address at the department level.
ANY HOBBIES, OR OUTSIDE INTERESTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH CET CUSTOMERS?
I find myself spending more and more time outside my CET responsibilities, serving various organizations at a committee or board level. Helping others to achieve goals that are community based that can benefit all or part of where I live , seems to be a skill I have a small but particular talent for. In other words, I like sticking my nose into a bees nest and hope not to be stung.
